About Alana
I deeply enjoy working with clients who are ready to engage and do the work inside and outside of therapy. I would love to sit with you in any experiences of ADD/ADHD, chronic illness and pain, boundary setting & maintenance, processing systemic oppression, religious trauma, anxiety, life transitions, grief, and exploring how we move through the world and its systems. I like working with adult individuals; people who are queer, gender-nonconforming, and those who identify as BIPOC.
I utilize trauma-informed and social-justice lenses while I integrate ACT, polyvagal theory, embodiment and somatic practices, and a strengths-based belief that every client I have the privilege of interacting with already has the capacity and tools inside of themself to create change.
As a person in the LGBTQIA+ community, I hope to provide a safe space for queer, questioning, and gender nonconforming clients. I strive to be actively anti-oppressive in all my work and continue to work on being anti-racist in practice. Ultimately, I hope to operate out of a social justice mindset and celebrate all clients who sit with me.
